Was the Gladiator GAY!!!
Everyone knows what the topic of the week is. With all the argument in the Supreme Court, Gay marriage is the headlines of every major news channel. I really don’t want to get into the touchy subject because I really don’t want to upset anyone.
What I do find very interesting is the social aspects in the acceptance of a gay couple. In Roman times not only was it acceptable to have a gay lover; it was encouraged. Alexander the Great was reported to have many male lovers aside from his three marriages.
So, where did the big change come from?
With the movement from polytheism to monotheism came the sacred chassis of marriage between a man and a woman. Homosexuality was considered sin and act that was unacceptable.
Could this be the reason for the change?
